Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali and his fellows

While offering the deep respect on the occasion of anniversary of Peshawar uprising  to its hero Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali and his fellows Chief Minister Harish Rawat said that in the freedom fight  of nation his contribution is never to be forgotten and unique.
Chief Minister Shri Rawat  stated in his massage that Peshawar uprising was a significant fight for independence of India, which laid a revolutionary foundation for future. This significant incidence is recorded in golden words in the independence history of India. He added that revolt to the english imperialism resulted in long term jail sentence to Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali but this sentence could not shake his patriotism. On account of active leadership in freedom fight he was re-arrested in 1942 and sentenced to jail.
Chief Minister said that after the Peshawar Mutiny Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali was in the row of leading freedom fighters. Mahatma Gandhi facilitated him by naming after ‘’Garhwali’’

Chief Minister Harish Rawat has flagged off the group of differently able persons from the Bijapur Guest House on Wednesday for the tour of Kedarnath from Gaurikund by foot. Chief Minister appreciated the courage of the differently able persons and said this is the true enthusiasm of Uttarakhand. He said that handicap people with artificial legs sending massage that they can travel then others people also. Chief Minister added that this is a pleasant experience to send off these people on Yatra.
          While addressing about the arrangements of Chardham Yatra routes he said that our people worked day and night to conduct the yatra smoothly. Roads have been constructed amid falling bolder. Roads which were obstructed due to heavy snowfalls, have been re-opened. Chief Minister emphasized to promote the internal tourism as residents of one part of state may travel another part. Hill state like Uttarakhand often faces natural hindrances. Around 500 times yatra has been interrupted in Sirobagad and Lambagad earlier. He said routes close many times but arrangements to re-open the routes noteworthy. CM assured that Chardham Yatra is entirely safe. People can come without tremulous.
           Travelling Under the banner  of Nautiyal Artificial Limb Centre Seven differently able persons are included in this group. Rajender Tawar and G C Gurung associated with  group played an important role in Kargil War in India’s victory hence Rakeshlal who participated in group had lost his leg in the huge disaster of 2013.  Apart from this, Surjan Singh, Laxmi Parsad Bahuguna, Dinesh Bijilwan and Dirender Singh will also travel on artificial legs. V. K. Nautiyal and Vijay Kumar including others were included in the group.
