President Pranab Mukherjee visit on the occasion of the opening of the Kedarnath Dham
Dehradun: The Chief Minister Harish Rawat met the President Pranab Mukherjee at New Delhi today. During the meeting, the CM Harish Rawat requested the President Pranab Mukherjee to pay a visit on the occasion of the opening of the Kedarnath portals. The President accepted the invitation and confirmed his participation. The CM told him that Kedarnath Yatra is about to begin. The date for opening of Kedarnath's portals has also been set. Kedarnath is one of the four dhaams of Uttarakhand.THe CM Harish Rawat said that the dhaam had suffered huge losses owing to the disaster. The state has made efficient arrangements for the security of Dhaams and all arrangements have been made for the tourists. He added that the government is trying to revive tourism in the state.
The CM stated that if the President visits Uttarakhand during the Yatra, it will send a positive message to the tourists all over.
The chaar dhaam Yatra is the pride of the nation. Also present on the occasion were Kishore Upadhyaya and advisor to the CM Dr Sanjay Choudhary.
