10 new buses of Uttarakhand Transport Corporation

Chief Minister Harish Rawat flagged off the 10 new buses of Uttarakhand Transport Corporation in an organized programme at Bijapur Guest House on Thursday. Chief Minister Shri Rawat said that State Government is committed to strengthen the transport network in the State. Transport corporation Instructed to purchase new buses. Chief Minister Shri Rawat informed that new Volvo buses have been incorporated in the troupe of Transport Corporation. In future more new buses will be included in it. Chief Minister added that new Volvo buses will also promote the Chardham Yatra. He said State Government is trying to provide the better transportation facilities to the tourists. Transport Corporation will have to take solid efforts to increase its income. A solid working plan to be drafted in this regard. Chief Minister Shri Rawat also inspected inside of the Volvo buses.
Prior to this, Chief Minister Harish Rawat offered floral wrath on the photo of Veer Chander Singh Garhwali, the hero of famous Peshawar Mutiny and expressed deep respect. Chief Minister Shri Rawat said that contribution of Shri Garhwali never to be forgotten. He added that Peshawar Uprising was a significant fight in the freedom fight of India which laid down a revolutionary foundation for future. This significant incidence was recorded in golden words in Indian History of Independence.  Cabinet Minister Yashpal Arya, Pritam Singh, State Congress President Kishor Upadhay including other respected people were present on the occasion.
