 News about the Interruption in Badrinath Yatra is completely false. Badrinath Yatra is going on smoothly under monitoring of State Government. Where roads have damaged due to repeatedly landslide optional arrangements have been ensured for the tourists of Badrinath Shrine. Additional Chief Secretary Rakesh Sharma informed that a part of land of 150-meter has down merged at Marwari near Joshimath as debris has sprat over the 400-500 meter. Government has done optional arrangements so that Yatra may not be affected. Officials of BRO assured that damaged part of the road will be reopened within 72 hours.
Additional Chief Secretary clarified that news of Yatra obstruction is entirely false. A land slide occurred near Marwari and BRO is trying to reopen it but a land slide re-occurred around 4:30 AM on the same spot. DM and other officials reached on the spot immediately and movement of tourists started again there around 8:30 AM. Senior Officials from the government have been sent there.
Additional Chief Secretary told that chief minister reached Joshimath  and inspected the spot himself. Today 650 people were dispatched on secure places from the Badrinath Road as 150 devotees by Helicopter and 500 devotees  by road were dispatched. Shri Sharma informed that no tourist is unsafe at any place only 150 devotees staying at Badrinath Shrine by their will. Until the Yatra route is entirely re-opened for the tourists devotees would be transported by transship. Tourist have to walk by foot up to 2 Km as for the purpose tourist would be dispatched Badrinath from Govindghat through vehicles as 30 vehicles  are available for this purpose already. Adequate food and drinking water arrangements have been ensured on the Yatra Route. Government is putting all its efforts that there may not be any kind of obstruction in yatra due to natural climate. Smooth conduction of Yatra and safety of tourists is our priority.  Until the Badrinath Yatra route re-opens entirely for smooth transportation of vehicles Helicopter Service has been started from Govindghat to Joshimath by paying Rs 750 only for tourist interests.       
State Government is actively watchful on the Chardham Yatra. Chief Minister Harish Rawat directed that all the senior officials and district officials would be in contact with Chief Secretary. Chief Secretary or Chief Minister Office to be contacted directly In the hour of crisis. In the line with the directions of Chief Minister, necessary guidelines have been issued by Chief Secretary  all the senior officials. Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Secretary, Secretary In-charge have been directed to open their mobile phone for 24 hours as they may be contacted at any time and expected quick response by the officials as no excuses will be tolerated. If any citizen contacts on mobile return call should be insured.  All officials would be present or in contact even on holiday period (except if they are on the tour with permission of  chief Secretary). All the senior officials of government have been expected to be available for governmental duties pro-actively. All officials have been directed not to apply for any kind of leave considering the on-going chardham Yatra.
            Chief Minister is monitoring the Vishuparyag land slide zone himself. He directed the additional chief secretary Rakesh Sharma and Principal Secretary Home Manisha Pawar for continuous monitoring. Secretary Disaster Management , Secretary PWD and IG Garhwal has been sent on the spot. All the three officials have been directed to organize camp at Govind Ghat.
